Overview

The CDL Driver is responsible for safely transporting inventory, transfer loads, and import containers between Chadwell Supply Distribution Centers, MRO locations, overflow storage facilities, and other designated company locations. This position supports operational efficiency by ensuring the timely, accurate, and safe movement of products while maintaining compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and all Chadwell Supply safety policies and procedures.  

Primarily local routes between company facilities (no overnight travel required). 

What you will need

  • You must be 21 years or older
  • Valid CDL Class A license (required)
  • Clean driving record with no major violations
  • Current DOT medical certificate and card
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements
  • Ability to operate tractors, trailers, and yard equipment safely
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.   

How you will make an Impact

  • Operate commercial motor vehicles including tractors, trailers, and container chassis in a safe and professional manner
  • Transport inventory, transfer loads, and import containers between distribution centers and designated facilities
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT requirements and company standards
  • Report any vehicle defects, mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately to management
  • Safely load, unload, secure, and transport products to prevent damage or loss during transit
  • Utilize warehouse equipment including hand trucks, manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts as required
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel and transportation leadership to ensure accurate and timely transfers
  • Maintain required documentation including driver logs, inspection reports, trip records, bills of lading, and shipping documentation
  • Comply with all federal, state, local, and company transportation and safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles and work areas
  • Assist with trailer spotting, yard organization, and trailer movement when necessary
  • Support warehouse operations and other assigned duties as business needs require
