Overview

The MRO Regional Trainer is responsible for assisting in the training and development of new and existing MRO employees and managers in accordance with the Branch Standard Operating Procedures and MRO Training Outline. This position may be assigned to assist MRO directors, regional managers and/or branch managers in the training of existing, updated, new policy and procedures or advanced techniques in branch operations. This position requires travel to regional territories assigned by the MRO Operations Training Manager, to provide training and personnel assessment, review, and identify any additional training needed. This position will be responsible for promoting the development of operations management, warehouse employee training and the consistency of branch operations, achieving the highest standards in adapting best practices through adherence to company policies and procedures. The training provided will focus on leadership, commitment to customers and profitability while promoting and maintaining the company servant culture and positive work environment. Daily work schedules vary according to business transactions, branch hours and customer needs and may include required late nights, early mornings, and weekends. Performance ratings and annual evaluations of all MRO trainers will be completed by the MRO Operations Training Manager.

What you will need

  • Be a minimum of 25 years of age.
  • Able and willing to meet travel requirements.
  • Be in good physical condition and capable of lifting in excess of 60 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, able to climb steps and ladders, and capable of bending, stopping, and carrying products up steps, stairs, and down ramps and walkways.
  • Have previous employee supervision experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse working environment.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse working environment.
  • Above average computer literacy and experience are required for this position.
  • Have the ability to learn and adapt to changes in work processes and are able to train all employees on changes as they occur.

How you will make an impact

The MRO Regional Trainer must be willing to assist with or perform all operations tasks associated with the daily operations of a Chadwell Supply distribution branch.

  • In the absence of the Branch Manager you may be required to:
    • Perform the duties of the Branch Manager in the Branch that he or she is training in.
    • Assist with the management of the distribution branch operations they are training in.
    • Perform similar duties as outlined in the Branch Operations Manager job description.
  • Communicate with the MRO Operations Training Manager, Directors of Branch Operations, and Regional Managers with updated progress reports of current training of branch personnel, as needed according to the MRO Operations Training Outline and objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and assist with the training of Managers in Training or Branch Managers within the guidelines of Branch Manager Training Outline:
    • Utilizing the Branch Manager Training Outline as a guide for the basis of the ability and knowledge of the trainee.
  • Responsible for reporting the results of training performed in branches to the MRO Operations Training Manager to analyze and produce measurable criteria.
  • Assist in the development and updates to standard operating procedures as needed to maintain current technological advances and company business and software changes.
  • Helps promote a unified training approach and curriculum to establish a process and procedure consistency across all regions and branch operations.
